Onto Saturday we didn't appear to have any major chances and so it proved as we ended the night with just the one winner. Salacres Louise won her A1 race in great style in a time of 3009 (+20). Louise is a great little bitch and though it had been a few races since she last tasted success it was great to see her pop out in front and put a decent field to the sword. Salacres Tango again finished a close runner up , this time to a fellow 4/1 chance , resulting in a decent straight forecast of £24.91.
Only lightly represented on Monday night with 5 runners , still disappointing not to come away with a winner though so all eyes turned to Tuesday, In all honesty despite being well represented on Tuesday chances didn't spring off the page. Salacres Roberto is a pup with potential and he stood out as just about our best chance of the day. He ran well to win but it does need remembering that he only just about held off an upgraded A4 dog in the shape of our own Salacres Biscuit by half a length so hopefully he's not asked too tough a question next time out. The Salacres forecast paid £17.96.
The Greyhound Derby is currently underway and there have been some very interesting races so far. A few of the more fancied runners have already been knocked out whilst dogs that were maybe a little under the radar have quickly come to prominence in the betting market. Paradise Silva being one such dog. A few shrewdies seem to have taken some fancy prices about this dog and would now be sitting pretty with themselves as he finds himself a 10/1 chance in the antepost market at best. He ran the bends at Wimbledon in the style of a very good dog and he looks one to keep on the right side. of.
