I thought we might have a winner or two at todays lunchtime BAGS meeting , so it was pleasing to be right about that and come away with 4 winners. Salacres Tuffin got the ball rolling by taking her A6 event. Tuffin is named after the legendary Notts handler Mr Laurence Tuffin. I'd promised Laurence that I would be naming a dog in his honour , so when we purchased Absolute Garbage as she was known in Ireland , it was with great pleasure that she was renamed in Laurences honour ! All in good humour of course as Laurence is a top man and a top trainer. Salacres Rogue was next to score. Rogue hadn't actually won a race since last September so it was pleasing to see her get her head in front today. If she is kept to A6 next time out she could win again now she has got her head in front. Cool Biko owned by myself and Bernie Slater was next to win , he just got up to take his A4 race. He's been a good dog to the kennel and won his share. Salacres Lanny completed the 4 timer in the very last race of the day. She was given the chance to double up in A5 after winning in the grade last time out. She was sent off a strong even money favourite but had to work hard to eventually score by 1/2 length.
All in all it's not been a bad week at all.
