After the well forecast non stop rain arrived on Thursday afternoon the track was running very heavily by Saturday night. We left the track empty handed and to top matters off promising bitch pup Salacres Louise suffered an injury which is likely to see her off the track for a good while. We can only hope that she comes back with no ill effects. Gutted isn't the word.
Monday we were only lightly represented so were happy with coming away with 2 winners and a couple of runners up from just the six runners. Salacres Smooth has been a good dog to the kennel and after taking an early lead in his A2 race the result was never in doubt as he ran out a comfortable winner. Our second winner of the night came in the shape of Salacres Gem. Gem has been crying out for both a middle draw and a drop in grade so when both came at once she did look to have a solid chance of success. She had to dig deep but it was pleasing to get another win on her card.
Garlyn Phanter was our sole winner on Tuesdays BAGS card. He stayed on well up the run in to take the lead near the finish.
