Back at Notts and 3 winners and 3 seconds from just 11 runners was a pleasing return. Salacres Louise had been showing signs of a return to form and was a good winner of her A3. Salacres Aidan hadn't won in 10 attempts but after trapping well and showing great early pace he ran out a ready winner of his A4. Aidan is named after a great supporter of our kennel Aidan Comerford and it was pleasing to get another win onto the dogs card. Our third winner on the night was Salacres Aneto. We knew we had to have this bitch primed for the night. This was another race in which a Phil Jones runner was having its 100th race. This time it was the Capla Sparky 100 races up trophy. Jonesy is a great man for having them primed for the big occasion so it was going to take a big effort to get Aneto over the winning line in front. Aneto rose to the occasion though , taking it up approaching the third turn to run away and score by over 7 lengths in this A6. Aneto is one of our homebred Dusseldorf x Salacres Polizzi litter and it was great to get another win on her card. Dougie , Biaritz and Freddy all ran with credit in second place.
Just the one winner on Saturday night. Salacres Irish is far from an easy dog to train so any win is appreciated , though I must admit that this win was a little bit on the fortunate side. They all count though.
