Tuesday just the one winner , Salacres Tiger bred by our own Rebel Ring out of our bitch Salacres Power will be 4yo in a couple of months. He's a stunning looking fawn and white dog who is a real character around the kennels. He was having his 101st race last Tuesday and winning for the 20th time in his career. He is a real strong running dog over the 500m trip and will always give you a run for your money. 62 times in the first 3 places home shows you that.
A double for us on Friday from Salacres Anna and that dog yet again Salacres Impact. Anna who had been a good winner a couple of weeks ago in A5 was this time winning in A3. She's found a bit of form again now and nice to get another win into her. Impact well what more can I say. This dog has been flying for a good while now , winning endless A3 races , some of which he's had no right to be winning. After winning his heat of the Trainers Championship for us he was raised in class to A2. We could have no real complaints but it did look a tough race for him. Somebody didn't read the script to Impact though as he came through with a storming late run to claim the honours. Not bad for a dog who will be 5yo on the 1st March.
Just 1 winner from 10 on Saturday night. Salacres Laya ran out an easy winner of her A7. After being stuck in a pocket around the first bend it opened up lovely for her coming off the second and after taking a lead so early in the race it really was all over and she came home 8 lengths clear.
Our pups all continue to please. I believe we've got a real nice batch to look forward to , from various dams. I'm really pleased with our litter of 10 pups by our own Dusseldorf and out of our own Salacres Polizzi. Considering there are 10 in the litter they are all a very nice size , full of life and showing all the early signs that they could be decent.
With pups you only get out what you put in and if they have half of what Madeleine puts into them in terms of quality then they will go along way. Madeleine loves the pups , treats them like they're all her own children and you can really see the benefit of that. There's along way to go yet and you need alot of luck along the way , but you have to be hopeful.
Thanks for reading.
