Anybody trying to purchase a dog from Scotland on Thursday night , like we were , may just have chosen a bad time. Mark tells me he contacted a chap on the North side of Hadrians Wall to purchase a dog and after putting in what was a reasonable enough offer was met with the height of abuse that if he'd have wanted offers he'd have asked for them. Okey dokey then , I thought most people in the greyhound world were accustomed to the fact that upon selling a greyhound the would likely receive an offer , it was obviously a bad moment to contact this guy and i'm sure that most of our Scottish friends would gladly have received an offer for their greyhounds for sale. Obviously this guy must have been a big football fan and had likely had one too many cans of Irn Bru.
Angriness seemed to be the order of the day on Thursday though. A couple of people on the popular www.greyhoundscene.co.uk forum seemed to take offence at my mentioning of the condition that Oyster arrived at our kennel in. All i'd say to those quizzing my right to do that would be that i'd have loved you to have seen the condition she came in , one or two people might change their view then.
Hopefully we have a a few winners at Nottingham over the coming weekend and if we managed to have one on the other side of the Irish sea , that really would put the icing on the cake.
Thank you as always for reading and anytime your down the track and Notts and fancy a chat do come and see me.
