Salacres Gem - No Luck In National Oaks Last weekend got off to a decent start with a when Salacres Pat took the first race of the night in A6 grade. That was as good as it was to get on Friday though with the only other performance of note coming from Salacres Iona who was just touched off in a close photo finish in her heat of the A5 Owners Bonus Series competition. Still that was enough to see Iona qualify for the final so job done. Onto Saturday and good to see Salacres Smooth winning his first race after an injury lay off. He took his A3 in great style by 8 1/2 lengths. Our second winner of Saturday night was Salacres Chris. Chris was winning for the second time in six starts and remains a pup who could improve for a while yet. Monday we were represented by 3 runners , Salacres Ben and Kitty in graded races and Salacres Gem in a heat of the Caffreys National Oaks. Ben didn't run too badly whilst Kitty is finding life in A3 tough after her upgrade. Gem didn't run too badly in what was a tough heat but failed to qualify. Tuesday we fared a little better as we scored three winners. Salacresprincess ran a good race to take her A3 , Salacres Boots took advantage of a drop in grade to A5 to win whilst seemingly everybodys nap of the day Salacres Gemma won her A6 race by a head from our other representative Salacres French. Salacres forecast followers rewarded with a payout of £13.26.
Hopefully a few more winners over the weekend , though a word of warning a few of the dogs are currently running at a grade above their current level of ability so it might be worth waiting for one or two to be dropped in grade before parting with any of your hard earned.
