Fridays meeting proved a bit of a nonentity , the closest that we came to a winner was Salacres French. He was beaten a neck in A7. French has now finished second on four of his last five outings , if he carries on at this rate he'll soon be rivaling Tango.
Saturdays meeting looked like going the same way as the previous evenings until we landed two late and very welcome winners. Salacres Ray (Zero Ten x Incredible Lulu) had won two of his first three races here at Notts but had since gone 4 races without a win. Ray is another of our crop of Incredible Lulu offspring. Lulu has provided us with plenty of recent winners and as a brood is a credit to her owner Vincent. Ray just about got his head in front in a close photo finish to land an A3 event for the first time. It was a close run thing and hopefully he's given another chance at this level next time out. Our second winner of the night came via Salacres Laya in the very next race. Her victory was a little more comfortable as she scored by 2 lengths in her A7 race.
Five winners over the course of the week , hopefully we can improve upon that this week.
Thanks for reading.
