I was to head over to Canary Wharf to guest on RPGTV during the evening. I must say my tipping could have gone a little better , though I did land my NAP and NB so things weren't too bad ! More importantly though it was a chance for people who don't know me around the country to hear my thoughts on a few things. I'm here to do my best for all. It was good to hear from a few people I know and it was also good to hear that I have the support of many people around the country. I'm here for all trainers and anybody that ever needs to speak to me , give me a call or email me at email@example.com anytime.
It was back into things on Friday and we had two winners down at Notts. Comerford is a pup that is really improving of late. His win on Friday was his fourth win in his last eight races , going from winning A6 to winning A3 in the process. He's far from the finished article just yet and i'd be disappointed if he wasn't winning again soon. Salacres Costa hadn't won since February , he gives his all every race so this A3 win was overdue.
Saturday night was almost a case of close but no cigar. Dougie , Keitel , David and Colin all finished second. We did fancy one of our runners strongly though. All night i'd heard a buzz around the track about a bitch called Nanny Cakes. Trained by Colin Wilton , Nanny Cakes is a terrific little bitch who has done Colin and her owners more than one good turn just lately. The people fancying her though obviously don't read this blog. Incredible Flyer is a bitch we've made absolutely no secret of that we rate her highly , very highly. Flyer is only a July 2015 pup but she is a good open class stayer in the making of that I have no doubt. Flyer also traps well with regularity. So given a nice make up in trap 1 we fully expected her to pop out , hold her pitch and get gone. Get gone she did and the race was never in the slightest bit of doubt as she pulverised her rivals into submission whilst winning by 5 1/2 lengths. Keep Flyer in your notebooks , with luck on our side she'll be winning more than her fare share of decent staying races.
We were pleased today to tie up a sponsorship deal with local kids football team Riverside FC. I'm a big advocate that children should be allowed a more active role within the sport of greyhound racing and they should be encouraged in any activity they wish to take part in. After being approached to sponsor the team I agreed immediately and Riverside FC will now proudly carry the salacresracingteam.com logo on their shirts.
Thanks as always for taking time out to read the blog.
See you soon.
