Saturday evening we headed to the track with a few chances. To come away with six winners though was extremely pleasing and to have 4 winning from the same Zero Ten x Incredible Lulu litter put the icing on the cake. Our original intake of runners from this litter were reared by our good friend up in the Scottish highlands Vincent. Vincent is a modest man but he does rear the greyhounds exceptionally well and deserves all the credit he gets for their achievements on the track. Salacres Louise and Ruby from this litter settled in pretty much straight away and have both ran and won numerous races whilst with us. We also received a full brother to these two bitches at the same time , his name is Salacres Borzoi. To say that he has been hard work is an understatement. In his first trials he was running very green. He is a big dog , who in all honesty had alot to learn about the game of racing. He certainly knew what to do from his time with Vincent , but putting all he had learned during his rearing into action on the track , was proving a little troublesome for this big white and black dog. Great patience has been shown by all involved with regards to Borzoi. He's had two spells of re-schooling , both in Ireland and once back over here in the UK. After all this time and after five previous runs where he had found all of the trouble spots going , it was brilliant to see him put it all together. He took an early lead and really put this field to the sword when running out a comfortable 4 length winner. As with Michael who won on the previous night , hopefully this is a stepping stone to greater things to come.
Thanks as always for reading.
