Just the 8 runners for Tuesdays BAGS meeting. We quite fancied Salacres Adele in her A6 so it was pleasing to see her just get up in the shadow of the post. It looked for a long way that she might not get a run but she bided her time and hit the front just in time. One other winner on the day , Savana Graham ran another excellent race to beat our own Salacres Impact into second place. Graham has really thrived since coming to race with us here at Notts and is a pleasure to train.
Friday night we had 11 runners but we were a little disappointed to land just one winner. We had to wait until the last race of the night to see Incredible Ruby blow her A2 rivals away with a comfortable 3 1/2 length success. Ruby recorded a brilliant 501 sectional in the process. Rubys full brother is Walshes Hill and it looks like a bit of the early pace in the family also reached Ruby.
Nine runners on Saturday night , 2 winners and 2 seconds wasn't too bad a return. Salacres Prince hadn't won since January but has been running well and deserved his victory in A5. He's a dog with decent all-round pace and ground out a well earned victory. Salacres Anna was our other winner on the night and deserved this victory. Anna had flown out in a 499 sectional last week but had her chance scuppered by a dog with no intention of winning the race. Last night she made no mistake though and proved that sectional no fluke as she again blasted from the blocks to yet again record a 499 sectional and power on for a QAW , ALD victory. Not many dogs break the 5 second sectional barrier and even fewer manage it two weeks running.
